The movie follows the story of Billie Blessings (Holly Robinson Peete), a chef and food blogger who becomes embroiled in a murder investigation when her friend and co-host on her morning show, Tom, is found dead in his hotel room.

Billie's natural investigatory instincts prompt her to try and piece together the night leading up to Tom's death, and as she delves deeper into the mystery, it becomes apparent that there were several people who had a motive to kill him.

As she uncovers more and more clues, Billie realizes that the case is much more complicated than she had initially thought, and that she may be the killer's next target.

With the help of a few close friends, Billie must navigate the dangerous waters of broadcasting politics and deal with the fallout from Tom's death all while working to bring the killer to justice.
