Virginia motorsports park schedule today

The 2022 edition of the East Coast Chevy Show is in the books after a warm, but gorgeous and sunny Saturday at Virginia Motorsports Park.

Hundreds of racers, swap meet spots, car show entries and fans came out to enjoy a great day at the racetrack and the action on-track was just as competitive as ever. Our four Nostalgia Funny Cars made multiple runs over 200 miles per hour and the heads-up, no time Most Wanted shootout had numerous wheelstands and close races throughout the evening!

Larry Miller, multi-time Super Pro track champion, laid claim to the Super Pro title for this year’s annual show in his popular, wheelstanding ’68 Chevelle from Sandston.

Miller defeated Brandon Layfield’s S10 in the final round with a .023 package as Layfield ran under his dial-in, breaking out in the finals. Tyler Crossnoe was the lone semi-finalist while Jarrett Lloyd, Stacy Johnson and Andrew “Smokey” Ellis were the quarterfinalists for the evening.
